Family Matters to Us

We believe that family was created by God.

Being a parent is difficult today. You shouldn't be on your own to do something as important as raising a family. We want to provide a safe environment for your kids to learn about Jesus. We believe God has called the Church to partner with families to help them be strong and centred in Jesus.

Nursery

A nursery is available for infants and toddlers during the worship service Sunday mornings. We also want to keep your kids safe, and our all our workers have background checks done before they can volunteer. They will love and care for your young ones.

Kids Church

Children participate in the Sunday worship service until partway through, then they leave for kids church where they have a Bible lesson and activities. This is for pre-school up to grade 5. We also want to keep your kids safe, and our all our workers have background checks done before they can volunteer. We want to see your children flourish and grow to love God with all their heart.

Pleasantville Baptist Teen Youth Group

It is not easy to be a teenager today. Paul said,

Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity (1 Tim 4:12 NLT).

Our prayer is that your young people will break the mold and live a life dedicated to following God.

Our youth group is on pause for the present time. If you would like to be part of us, please contact us and we will send you information about our Facebook group that will keep you up to date on what is happening.

Family Connections Supper

This monthly supper for families – parents, youth, and children has been temporarily paused. Check back again for further updates.

Sometimes the children have a program led by our adult leaders and youth while the parents have some down time to chat about parenting topics. Other times there is an activity we all do together. Examples in the past include celebrating First Nations Heritage, celebrating Black History Month, talking to your kids about money, and helping your kids deal with grief and loss.

Please contact us if you have any questions. You can also reach us through our Facebook page.

At the head of the family is the institution of marriage. We believe that marriage is best experienced within the context of the Church as something that was established by God. Funerals are a time when families most intensely feel the need for spiritual guidance and support. We want to be there for you during this difficult time. If you would like information about officiating at a funeral, please don't hesitate to contact us.
